An Introduction To Brainwave Entertainment (BWE)

I have tried to replace the scientific language with more understandable language and include definitions of the terms used where I could without taking away from the meaning of the sentence or paragraph.

Brainwave entertainment (BWE), which is the use of rhythmic stimuli to alter the brainwave frequency and thus the brain state, has been investigated and used since the late 1800's but yet there are many scientist and others in the medical field that have not heard of it. This article is to raise awareness and to inform you of it's existence and the benefits it offers for those who suffer with pain, depression, anxiety and a variety of other health issues.

I have been using brainwave entertainment for over 5 months now and I've noticed a remarkable difference in my fibromyalgia and arthritis pain, the fibromyalgia fog has lifted and my concentration levels have risen as well. I am able to do many of the things, like walking my dog and mowing all in the same day, that I haven't been able to do since I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia in 1999. I have passed my experiences on to others who have fibromyalgia and chronic pain but it's been met with fear, anxiety and just plain resistance of the unknown. Hopefully, this article will eliminate those fears, anxieties, and resistance and others will be able to experience the same results as I have.

  1. I always hate to hear about someone else's pain, especially when there is something besides drugs that works.

    Kim,
I have used Tramadol for over 10 years with great results but it doesn't work for my husband, who has had back surgery, 15 years ago. He uses Soma when his back pain is severe and he has several days to do nothing but sleep. The best advise I can give you is to talk to your doctor or you may want to talk to a pain specialist who can help you to work out a pain management program designed specifically for your needs.

I guess I am lucky, because when I discussed the Brainwave Entertainment with my doctor and told her the results I got she wanted to know more so she could recommend it to her other pain patients. She is very opened to alternative treatments. The thing about Brainwave Entertainment is that it may take longer to get the results I did depending on your pain levels and the type of pain. The key to any new treatment is to give it time to work. Some people think that if it doesn't work in a couple of days or a week that it will never work. I always give a new treatment at least 30 days because most times it takes that long for it to build up in your system, if it's a new medication or to do it's thing if it's a new therapy.

  2. I agree with you totally, Tom, about the use of opioid drugs. If you abuse them they will not work as effectively.

That's the reason I love the Brainwave Entertainment. There are no drugs involved but they can be used in conjunction with your pain medications which helps you to use less of them. I have found that the Brainwave Entertainment has actually decreased my need for the pain medications I was and am taking now. I was on 3 different kinds of pain medications and now I take only the Tramadol and even the dosage of that has been cut in half.

Thank you for your comment. I hope that the information I provide on this blog and my website helps you to better understand your pain and provides you with information that you can use to give you a better quality of life.
